Why we started

“Can the lion go to the moon tonight?” Our daughter asked most nights, book in hand. Our son wanted the same: a dinosaur, a new place to go, every time.

Some nights we were too tired to invent one. We watched her put the book down quietly, without asking twice, and we wondered how many nights it takes before a child stops asking.

So we built something to help us say yes. Soon they weren't just asking for stories. They were telling us their own, with their own characters and their own voice.

Every independent reader and thinker began next to a grown-up who read with them first.

Children are creators, not just an audience

When their own idea becomes a book, they learn their imagination is theirs to use, not just something to admire in someone else's story.

No one knows your child better than you

You don't need to be a teacher. You just need to know what to do next, and we'll show you, one story at a time.

Your child's safety and privacy

Every story is checked automatically for unsuitable content. No automatic check is perfect, so please read each book yourself before you share it with your child.
We never store recordings of your child’s voice. Anything they say aloud, such as a story idea, is turned into text and the recording is discarded straight away.
We keep only what the app needs to work: the name you give us for your child, their age group and their reading progress. It sits under your account, not theirs.
Only a parent can share a book, and a shared link can be turned off at any time.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not run analytics tracking on the pages your child uses.
You can review, export or delete your child’s data at any time from your account settings.
